Manila FAME has been catapulting the careers of many Filipino designers to the global scene and has put to the spotlight hundreds of local small- and medium-scale enterprises and artisan communities.

The country’s premier lifestyle and design trade show focuses on celebrating Filipino culture and heritage for more than three decades. This October, the show returns this 17 to 19 October at the World Trade Centre Metro Manila with their second instalment pursuant to this year’s theme “Heritage Reimagined” which showcases the best of Filipino craftsmanship and design ingenuity.

“There has been a surge of nostalgia and reimagining of iconic and heritage design pieces in recent years. It is through this yearning for creative rebirth that we highlight the inherent beauty and distinct creativity of Filipino culture,” says Pauline Sauco-Juan, Executive Director of the Centre for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM).

Featuring over 300 home and lifestyle brands, Manila FAME promotes the Philippines as a premier sourcing destination for high-quality and design-oriented home, fashion, holiday, architectural, and interior products. It prides itself as the second longest-running trade show in Asia Pacific and the only Filipino trade event recognised by the Union des Foires Internationales, a Paris-based group of the world’s leading trade show organisers.

"We want Manila FAME to continue being home to fresh and innovative design. We have a wealth of inspiration and an abundance of skill, talent, and imagination to find new meaning in our heritage and transform them into new products that will carry Filipino designs to the future. Manila FAME lasted for more than thirty years because it was able to ride the waves of change and observe trends,” adds the executive director.

The trade show brings into the limelight exquisite and world-renowned artistry in product design, mastery over raw materials, and unique quality. A melting pot of inspiration and creativity, Manila FAME was able to tap and work with renowned names in the industry namely Kenneth Cobonque, Josie Natori, and Budji Layug.

Manila Fame has also catapulted to success the careers of Filipino designers such as Tony Gonzales, Tes Pasola, and myriad others to the global scene.
