1. Sirup (Japan)
Japanese R&B has become a recent addiction; you get into it once, you can’t get out of it anymore. A fan favourite is Sirup, a Japanese singer whose mellow yet upbeat hits are sung sometimes in Nihongo, sometimes in English. For a more laidback listen, check out “Loop” — it’s a great listen for when you’re deep in thought, about to go to sleep, or simply at a cafe (maybe somewhere in Akihabara?).
