Whether you’re an expert or a first-time traveller, here are some great travel destinations you might want to visit on your next trip!
Knowing that the world is filled with amazingly diverse places, organising a vacation could be a challenging task for someone who has done it several times or about to go solo for the first time.
It’s a good thing World Economic Forum (WEF) released their Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019 just in time for the holiday season when most people take the time off to relax and go on a trip by themselves or with their loved ones.
Published biennially, the report benchmarks the travel and tourism competitiveness of 140 economies and measures “the set of factors and policies that enable the sustainable development of the travel end tourism sector”. Through cross-country comparison, the report provides an in-depth analysis of the strengths and areas for development of each country based on its infrastructure, safety, business environment, tourism-related policies, and its natural and cultural resources.
Here are nine of the top world destinations for travellers according to the WEF’s Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2019:
1. Spain
Named as the most “travel-ready” country by the WEF since 2015, the Mediterranean country has emerged as the best destination for travellers worldwide for the third time. Thanks to the stunning mountain scenery, the glistening beaches that dot its coastline, the fantastic food, and the vibrant cities villages, Spain remains the most competitive country for attracting tourists.
