Check out the Black Panther’s sleek Lexus LC 500
The premiere of Marvel’s latest blockbuster Black Panther is getting people excited for a host of reasons, one of which is the sweet futuristic tech that can be seen all over the Wakandan landscape. Appearing alongside T’Challa is the Lexus LC 500—a perfect foil to the ruler of the technologically advanced fictional nation.
In the film, the Lexus flagship coupé’s cutting-edge technology, aggressive styling, and unrivalled performance are displayed in all their glory. The Black Panther must always be at the top of his game, and the same is expected from his equipment. Powered by a 470 bhp engine, the LC delivers a breathtaking blend of power and performance. To match the Black Panther’s reflexes, aluminium, and carbon fiber are used to reduce weight and optimize dynamic handling. Much like the Black Panther’s vibranium suit’s protective function and undeniably aggressive and sleek design, the LC sports a unique Structural Blue pigment that reflects nearly 100 per cent of incoming light compared to the 50 per cent by conventional blue pigments. It’s a shade that has never been seen elsewhere.
The Lexus and Marvel collaboration also extends to the comic realm, with Marvel Custom Solutions’ original graphic novel written by Fabian Nicieza and illustrations by emerging artists Scott “Rahzzah” Wilson and Szymon Kudranski. The comic gives the LC 500 a distinct spin, which plays a role in helping the Black Panther defeat a legendary villain.
