Rolls-Royce Dawn by the Manila Bay

Oscar Wilde once said, “A dreamer is one who only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.” Indeed, men who strive to pursue their dreams and fulfill what they are passionate about “see the dawn before the rest of the world’—leading the way for change, setting the bar high, and making a mark in the world. And true enough, Rolls-Royce Dawn is a clear manifestation of these words and define the very essence of luxury motoring.

Setting the benchmark for super-luxury convertibles, Dawn suits to all generations of Rolls-Royce customers and even attracts to both male and female car enthusiasts. During its launch in its showroom in Bonifacio Global City, Asia Pacific Regional Sales Manager Sven Ritter said, “Its design evokes glamour and offers a supreme experience for four adults in total comfort. It is the pinnacle of luxury good—rare, bespoke, and handcrafted to the unmistakable Rolls-Royce hallmark standard.”

The new model features 80 per cent unique body panels and new tires as special fitment. Its roof delivers the silence of a Rolls-Royce Wraith when up and operates in just over 20 seconds at a cruising speed of up to 50 kilometre per hour. Its fabric roof configuration makes Dawn the quietest convertible car in the world today. Needless to say, it has a graceful and sensuous design with its authentic French material and seams.

Roof down, the sensuous lines of Dawn are evident. From the side the steep rake of the windscreen, the savage line that flows over the rear haunches and the high beltline that rises along the profile give the impression of effortless dynamism. The very same rising beltline wraps around the rear passenger cabin to creating a cosseting effect.

The deck continues Rolls-Royce’s excellence in modern craftsmanship. Open-pore Canadel panelling traces the horse-show shape of the rear cabin, whilst the wood on the deck, which can be chosen to suit individual taste, flows down the “Waterfall” between the rear seats, and around the cabin clothing the interior door panels—enticing an owner or passenger to enter Dawn.

“At Rolls-Royce, we pride ourselves as creators of fine motor cars that also serve as social space,” commented Rolls-Royce’s Design Director Giles Taylor. “The idea of creating a car like Dawn that can be used in comfort by only two adults on a day-to-day basis is anathema. In creating Dawn we have accepted no compromise to the comfort and luxury of four adults who want to travel together in the pinnacle of style,” he continued.

The default interior colour scheme for the new model is Mandarin Orange and Navy Blue while the exterior is Midnight Sapphire wih Navy Blue hood. Clients may choose to customise these. Price is available on application.
