The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) celebrated its 50th anniversary recently with the Philippines as its annual summit’s chair. Originally composed of five nations, ASEAN grew to ten countries harmoniously living peacefully and prosperously and with an aim towards economic growth, social progress, and cultural development.

In celebration of this milestone, several events were held in the country that were attended by numerous state and business leaders and other distinguished personalities including members of the diplomatic corps to discuss on certain topics and issues.

Although the festivities were long over, the ASEAN Tourism Association with the help of AirAsia invites wanderlusts and thrill-seekers to tour around the region (don’t worry, it’s visa-free for citizens of ASEAN nations) in 50 different unforgettable travel experiences and festivals.
