From Manila to the country’s best-known resort destinations, Astoria Hotels and Resorts delivers a vibrant experience for business and leisure travellers alike

Since opening the doors of its first hotel in 2001, Astoria Hotels and Resorts has consistently delivered on its promise of Philippine hospitality with a designer and luxurious twist. From its flagship hotels in the heart of the capital to its resorts in the country’s award-winning tropical destinations, the Astoria brand has become synonymous with elegance, comfort, and intimate experiences.

In Metro Manila, one can find a serene haven at either Astoria Plaza in Ortigas or at Astoria Greenbelt in Makati. In Ortigas, the interiors exude a soothing calm inspired by a Zen aesthetic. In Makati, on the other hand, interiors feature dark-stained wood and soft lighting – a perfect combination for helping business travellers relax. Both hotels are a stone’s throw away from corporate and commercial districts, providing easy access to either business engagements or more leisurely encounters.

Further down in the central islands of the Philippines, Astoria offers a unique array of experiences ranging from the idyllic getaway to adrenaline-packed adventures. The famed island of Boracay, in particular, plays host to two resorts: Astoria Boracay in Station 1 for luxe, laidback private retreats and Astoria Current at Station 3 with its more active vibe given its close proximity to watersports and popular nightspots.

Astoria also has properties on the beautiful islands of Bohol and Palawan. Both resorts combine island traditions with bespoke hospitality to create unforgettable sojourns. Located in the waterside town of Baclayon, Astoria Bohol prides itself on hospitality built upon Boholano warmth and affection, while its architecture is inspired by the province’s Spanish heritage.

Astoria Palawan, on the other hand, is a destination in itself. Sitting on a vast mango orchard, the resort is the brand’s most eco-friendly property to date. This five-hectare property merges the concept of work and play through two major facilities: the Mangrove Conference and Convention Center and Palawan Waterpark by Astoria.

Built on a 439-square meter space, the Mangrove Conference and Convention Center houses two function rooms which can accommodate 200 guests, and one main hall with a maximum guest capacity of 450 persons. It is the  perfect site for both corporate events and social celebrations.

Palawan Waterpark by Astoria, on the other hand, is the first aquatic amusement park to be built in Puerto Princesa. Filling up one hectare of the property, it features colorful water vortex slides, a marine sanctuary, and other attractions for the young and the young at heart.

In addition, Astoria Palawan also has an infinity pool, various indoor and outdoor activities, and a restaurant and bar – proof that Puerto Princesa is so much more than just the halfway point to Coron and El Nido.

Every Astoria hotel and resort is the result of a creative collaboration between award-winning designers Ivy and Cynthia Almario of Atelier Almario and the Gallego and Associates team. Floors, building, and room layouts were designed to embody the unique experience of each destination, whether a winding walk through a tropic beach or an enclave within an urban center.

Each is a localised gem of Astoria Hotels and Resorts’ vision of highlighting the country’s natural wonders, while providing guests with an elevated vacation across the spectrum of vibrant holidays and contemplative escapes.
