There is definitely a lot in store for the Blinks this year and Rosé started it with the release of her debut single ‘On The Ground’
Sold out concert tours, piles of awards, and countless numbers of supporters—the members of Blackpink really have it all. When the girl group released its debut single album Square One in August 2016, radio stations across the globe knew that the people found a new K Pop favourite.
In 2018, Blackpink’s fame was unstoppable. Backed by millions of their “Blinks,” the group’s lead single Ddu-Du Ddu-Du debuted at number 55 on the Billboard Hot 100, with an estimated 12.4 million U.S. streams.
In the same year, South Korean agency YG Entertainment revealed that it had bigger plans for the group. One of Blackpink’s members, Jennie, released Solo, in partnership with US record label Interscope.
In 2021, another Blackpink member made her debut solo. On 12 March, the band’s main vocal, Rosé released On the Ground—a song that focuses on the artist’s happiness, purpose, and fame.
