Awethentic Gallery is celebrating art week by launching VR Art Jam

Virtual reality (VR) is the next big tech revolution—and Awethentic Gallery, a VR-equipped exhibition-cum-education space founded by Sean Lee-Davies, is poised on the edge of the shift. For Hong Kong Art Week, they are hosting a “VR Art Jam” for VIP guests to experience art through 3D simulations.

On March 22, you’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with modern masterpieces like Van Gogh’s “Starry Night”, Picasso’s “The Rescue” and Edvard Munch's “The Scream”—all without setting foot outside of Hong Kong.

The gallery and production studio is also fully equipped as a VR production house (they’ve worked with brands like Cartier, Fendi and Chopard on multi-platform content), so visitors can create their very own virtual reality artwork and, of course, share it on social media.

And in case you need some inspiration, exhibiting Italian artist Mauro Bergonzoli will be there in person to create a virtual masterpiece.
