The new university ranking recognises FEU, the only Philippine school, included in the list.

Far Eastern University has been recognised as one of the most innovative universities in the world as it ranks 91st in the WURI 2020: Global Top 100 Innovative Universities.

World's Universities With Real Impact (WURI), a new university ranking system, was established through the alliance of four global institutions: The Hanseatic League of Universities (HLU), Taylor Institute (TI) of Franklin University in Switzerland (FUS), United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), and The Institute for Policy and Strategy on National Competitiveness (IPSNC). The ranking system has been developed by the Institute for Policy and Strategy on National Competitiveness (IPSNC).

The university has been included in the list based on four aspects that measure the performance of universities: industrial applications, value-creating startups and entrepreneurship, social responsibility, and student mobility and openness for exchange and collaboration.

As the only Philippine school included in the global list, FEU humbly admits that they are still in the process of improving the program. Joeven Castro, FEU's Vice President for Academic Services, also shared his sentiments on their Facebook page. "More importantly, we are guided by a clear goal of helping students better understand their academic lifecycle, which includes their career and employment challenges and opportunities," he stated.

FEU's dedication in reaching this goal even after the release of WURI's list only proves their institution worthy of receiving the merit.
