Clear skies and calm weather await tourists, adventure junkies, and most especially paragliders, at the upcoming first leg of the Paragliding Accuracy World Cup 2015 in Sarangani Province.

Sarangani is quickly becoming one of the paragliding capitals of the Philippines as this year’s first leg of the 8th annual Paragliding Accuracy World Cup will be held in the province from March 27 to 29.

There is no doubt that the freedom the said sport provides has attracted a number of practitioners in the country. Following the success of the independently organised International Paragliding Accuracy Championship in 2014, the Department of Tourism (DOT) Region 12, Air Sports Adventure Philippines, and Sarangani Paraglide bring the World Cup to the Philippines in the effort to draw sports tourists and contribute to the Visit Philippines 2015 campaign of the DOT.

The paragliding community that will participate in the event is composed of people from 24 countries across four continents and is expected to gather at Safii Ranch in Sarangani—one of the internationally-recognised most ideal flying sites in the world. The 300 days of flyable weather in the area, and the majestic view of the Southern bay of the archipelago have brought pure joy for paragliding pilots and enthusiasts alike.

The 8th annual Paragliding Accuracy World Cup  on March 27 to 29 will be held in Safii Ranch, in Sitio Seguil, Barangay Tinoto, Maasim, Sarangani.
