The hansgrohe brand expands its comprehensive range of mixers for high-end private and hotel bathrooms with its new Metropol Classic line. In collaboration with Phoenix Design, the Black Forest-based bathroom and kitchen specialist presents the Metropol Classic mixers. One of the outstanding features of this new collection is its surface design: the Metropol Classic collection boasts elegant, gold accents on the base, the handles and the spouts of the mixers. They are also available on special order in an attractive pure chrome finish.

Quality in details

The design combines clean-cut edges with gleaming surfaces, beautifully complementing elegant bathroom environments. The graceful line of the mixer body sweeps down, widening into a square, opulent base: a characteristic feature of the hansgrohe Metropol Classic mixer range. Traditional values and love of detail are reflected in the quality workmanship and the chrome and gold surface accents. This finish is created with the help of an elaborate PVD (Physical Vapor Deposition) process, which coats the product parts with the use of vapour in a vacuum chamber. PVD-coated surfaces are exceptionally resistant to scratches and corrosion.

A wealth of options

This extensive line of mixers for washbasins, bathtubs and bidets, combined with new shower products adapted to match the look of the Metropol Classic collection, offers flexibility in the design of complete solutions for hotel and private bathrooms. Users can choose, depending on their preferences, between three different versions of Metropol Classic three-hole mixers: one with a softly curved lever handle, one with a minimalist zero handle and a model with ergonomically rounded cross handles. For modern interiors with freestanding bathtubs, there is an elegant, freestanding mixer with a matching chrome and gold baton hand shower. hansgrohe Metropol Classic washbasin mixers are available in three different spout heights (ComfortZone 110, 160 and 260), allowing to align the model with the personal needs of the user and the shape and size of the washbasin.

ECO-nomical

hansgrohe Metropol Classic mixers all come equipped with EcoSmart technology: an aerator in the nozzle reduces water flow to about five litres per minute, which helps meet building certification and environmental standards. The water is enriched with air, pampering the skin with a full and soft spray while causing less splashing. Thanks to flexible silicone nubs in the spout, limescale deposits can easily be rubbed away using your finger. Even changes in water pressure are easily overcome: a precision regulator keeps the flow rate constant. The chrome and gold surface finish on the Hansgrohe Raindance Classic overhead and hand showers is new, too, designed to complement the Metropol Classic line in the shower area. Like the mixers, these showerheads help save water, as they also come equipped with EcoSmart technology, reducing water flow to about nine litres per minute.
