Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific Importers seals the deal with its new Philippine partner, Coventry Motors Corporation
Coventry Motors Corporation is now the official importers of Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles for the Philippine market. Both parties sealed the deal at a contract signing ceremony and press conference on 24 November 2017 at the Manila Golf and Country Club. Present for the signing were Robin Colgan, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific; George T Barcelon, Chairman of Coventry Motors Corporation; Gerardo “Gerry” F Alejandro, President of Coventry Motors Corporation; and Andy Wust, Customer Service Director of Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific.
According to Colgan, the growth rate of the Philippine economy is an excellent indicator that there is a growing market for premium luxury vehicles. “We are indeed very pleased to commence our formal relationship with Coventry Motors as we strongly believe in their capability to make incredible headway in growing the Jaguar and Land Rover brands and market share in the Philippines,” said Colgan in his speech earlier today. “George and Gerry’s management expertise and industry experience give us the confidence to re-ignite the excitement and clamour for the Jaguar Land Rover brand in the market.”
In response, Barcelon said, “We are very excited to have been appointed by Jaguar Land Rover to bring their business visions to life in the Philippine market. We believe that by working closely together with Jaguar Land Rover Asia Pacific, we can bring new life and innovation to the Philippine automotive industry.”
To commemorate the occasion, the Range Rover Velar was unveiled to the media.
