For a property to be selected to join this group of historical lodging association, it must be at least 75 years old. They consider those places that have served as the former home of famous persons or have been a significant location for an event in history. It is a plus factor to be located in or within walking distance to a historic district a landmark or a notable city center. Ideally, the site should be recognised by a local preservation organization or national trust. The display of historic memorabilia, artwork, photography, and other examples of its legacy would be a vital factor.

Not many are given the chance to be featured in this well-respected website. Truly a milestone, Las Casas Filipinas de Acuzar sets itself apart as a property that not only caters to travellers and locals alike, but moreover, serves as a tribute to the rich architectural history of the Philippines. Each building in the compound has been created from blueprints of historical sites and structures around the country, creating a fairytale-like location for those who want to immerse themselves in the glory of the hispanic-era Philippines.
