MaArte Fair 2019 Returns to The Peninsula Manila
MaArte Fair, the much-anticipated fundraiser annually hosted by non-profit organisation Museum Foundation of the Philippines, is back for its 11th edition on 16 to 18 August at The Peninsula Manila. A venue for local artisans and entrepreneurs to showcase their craft, the fair brings together a wide array of limited-edition items, from food to fashion and home décor.
This year’s fair is dubbed as “MaArte oPEN House,” a play on its collaboration with The Pen, which also hints on how it differs from previous editions. Inspired by the open-door parties held at Syquia Apartments in Malate from early 2000s, MaArte Fair will be adapting the similar concept: 29 guest rooms at The Pen will be used for the event, where exhibitors will be spread out and have the opportunity to interact with shoppers and sell their pieces at a more intimate space.
Over 60 exhibitors will be taking part in the open house, such as fair regulars and well-known brands Mich Araullo, Randy Ortiz, Aranaz, Haute Home Manila, Micki Olaguer, Riqueza, Oscar Mejia Fragrances, Tim Tam Ong, Beyond Borders, D’Oro Barandino, Creative Definitions, as well as Natalya Lagdameo, Filip+Inna, and Balay ni Atong, who will be collaborating on a special project called Tatsulok. Newer additions to the fair’s roster include the likes of Pinoy ManCave, Coco and Tres, Pika Pika + Pinta, Vesti, Solsuela, and Evangeline Austria. Food items from Auro Chocolates, Green Babes, and Felicisimo Gourmet Homecooking will also be available.
Alongside the open house, MFPI will also conduct MaArte Talks, a series of conversations featuring vetted entrepreneurs as they share tips and insights on business.
