With the awards season upon us, many are more motivated to go and watch movies in the cinemas. The movie theatre is a place to escape the busy world and immerse yourself a film. It is a time to get lost in the big screen. However... instead of simply enjoying the 2 hour break, you may find yourself surrounded by ill-mannered moviegoers who can totally ruin the whole experience. #TatlerTips Here is exactly what not to do when at the theatre

1. Do not put your feet up on the chair in front of you

As comfortable as this might be, it is extremely rude.

2. Do not eat loud or smelly foods

Crackling chip packs and pungent food smells are sure to distract the crowd.

3. Do not talk during the movie

Do not talk to your friends throughout the movie. You will distract other moviegoers from enjoying the film. A movie theater is not the place to socialize.

4. Do not text or check your phone

Do not text, check Facebook, use instagram etc.! The brightness of your cellphone screen is very distracting and irritating.

5. Do not talk on the phone

Do not even think about answering your phone and taking a call during the movie. There is a time and place, and this is not one of them.

6. Do not make side comments

Try your very best not to make side comments or ask questions during the movie unless you are confused, that is.

7. Do not kick the seat in front of you

Just don’t.

8. Do not arrive late

Walking in late, slowly making your way through rows of people by squeezing between their knees and the seats in front of them while blocking the screen at the same time… is definitely a no-no.
