Put the bounce back in your step at The Sole Retreat and Reflexology Centre

The tension in Manila is palpable. From the highways of EDSA to the cramped office spaces of business districts north, south, and otherwise, Filipinos are constantly bombarded with overwhelming sensations and experiences. While a month-long vacation is ideal, some people simply do not have the time. For them, the logical answer to tense shoulders and unhealthy stress levels lies not in a long-haul plane ticket, but in the luxurious spa spaces of Okada’s “The Sole Retreat”.

The Sole Retreat Foot Spa and Reflexology Centre offers a variety of healing treatments and products. Based on the belief that the foot is a gateway to one’s health, Okada’s newest spa offers foot massages based on different techniques of reflexology.

The Ingham Method and the Asian Reflexology method are two of the more popular treatments available. Both are administered by the masterful hands of their therapists; but while the Ingham Method utilises rhythmic finger and thumb walking techniques based on the principle of pressure point therapy, the Asian Reflexology massage focuses on deep finger, thumb, and knuckle pressure that creates a relaxing, rubbing sensation. Traditional full-body traditional Asian massages, Western facials, and hand/foot treatments are also available at the centre.

The Sole Retreat’s ultimate goal is to transport their patrons to a place of rejuvenation. With 22 individual luxury foot spa thrones and a private lounge (complete with five foot spa thrones), The Sole Retreat is set to become one of Manila’s more popular city getaways. Their relaxing treatments are set to last an hour and a half, with a warm foot soak and a shoulder and neck massage in the beginning, and a ten minute leg massage, full-body stretch, and aromatherapy at the end.
