Lighting design company Slamp partners with Montblanc for the perfect lamp for writing
If you’re one of those people who still delight in the pleasure of writing notes and letters in the age of digital, you’ll want to reserve a space on your table for this lamp. The lighting design company Slamp has worked with Montblanc to create the ideal writing lamp for enthusiasts. Designed to complement the Maison’s iconic Meisterstück Le Grand, the Overlay employs an integrated technology, that when the writing instrument is lifted from the leather rest and put back, the lamp turns on and off.
In terms of design, the Overlay’s sinous, minimalistic look provides a non-invasive addition to any theme. The brass body and base are topped of by a shade made of layers of Slamp’s patented Copperflex, creating warm chromatics. The lamp has two light sources, a courtesy light in the base and the main light that casts solid illumination on any writing surface. When the pen is placed on top of the brass base, the sensitive touch system turns on the LED courtesy light. When the instrument is lifted from the base, the main LED light turns on.
Designed with the aim of creating not only suggestive attraction but positive, non-invasive interaction, Overlay exudes simple elegance, quietly urging productivity. The design company Analogia Project has combined Slamp’s aesthetic values, handcrafted abilities, innovative technology, and all-around know-how in working with the patented materials to create new ways to interact with light.
For this special deal, Overlay and the Meisterstück Le Grand are sold together in an elehant, personalised case. You can choose between Montblanc’s iconic rollerball, fountain, or ballpoint Meisterstück Le Grand pens.
In the Philippines, Slamp is distributed by Kuysen Enterprises. (website here).
