The iconic Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas, famous for its daily fountain show on The Strip, is set to open the doors to a sparkling new outpost in Shanghai next month.

Bellagio Shanghai becomes the brand's first international location and will open on the banks of the Suzhou River, at the northern end of The Bund, the city's waterfront promenade, not far from one of the world's bustling shopping streets, Nanjing Road.

In a nod to its Las Vegas predecessor, images of the world-famous fountain will be shown on LED screens that line a four-storey atrium, for a mirage effect. The water show had a starring role in "Ocean's 11," while the Bellagio itself was the main setting for "Ocean's 13," released in 2007.

The Art Deco-inspired hotel will feature 162 guest rooms and suites, ranging from 60 to 100 square meters, with top-end suites featuring private terraces, walk-in closets, marble bathrooms, BOSE stereos, and personal butlers.

High rollers in Shanghai can book the Presidential Suite, which spans 400 square meters and comes with its own home theater.  Part five-star luxury hotel, part living art gallery, the resort is also filled with more than 1,000 art pieces that have been curated from around the world. Dining offerings will include an all-American diner experience, Italian restaurant Lago by Julian Serrano, and a restaurant serving Cantonese and Shanghainese cuisine.

The Bellagio Shanghai opens June 8.
