The first-ever ASEAN International Furniture & Furnishings Show VX 2021 (AIFFS VX) puts the spotlight on unique Filipino furniture and furnishings

Organised by the ASEAN Furniture Industries Council (AFIC), this year sees the premier ASEAN International Furniture & Furnishings Show (AIFFS) bring together brands from eight different ASEAN countries. The virtual furniture show is proud to host names from Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, and of course, our very own. Australian and US companies are also at the ready for interested buyers, though we must add that the true star of the show has to be those made by local artisans.

A growing evolution steers us to love local, and with this call, the Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (CITEM) proudly presents ten of the most deserving brands to represent our country at the AIFFS. They are: Acento Colleccions, E. Murio, Enpekei International, Goltrio, Junk Not, La Galuche, Mejore, Obra Cebuana, Prizmic & Brill, and Stonesets International.

In the the virtual booth at AIFFS (available here), visitors and interested buyers can directly chat, leave a message, request for a meetup, or make video call requests. Catalogues are live on the site from 13-18 March 2021. All the brands are also available on the FAME+ website, which CITEM had originally launched last October 2020. This digital platform helps to improve the reach and discoverability of over 200 exhibitors that encompass furniture and lifestyle.

CITEM Executive Director Pauline Suaco-Juan stressed the importance of adapting to an online presence. “Brands have a few seconds–essentially the flick of a finger–to get the attention of an audience, especially an online one. As such, arresting photos are a must,” she added.

For the first edition of the AIFFS, CITEM has gathered the collective for a themed catalogue entitled “Nature-Inspired and Timeless Elegance". As such, home decor made from local materials such as rattan, bamboo, and capiz are amongst those at front and centre of the entire event.
