Global lifestyle brand, Crate & Barrel was all about “inviting the outdoors in” for its recent Spring/Summer 2017 collection launch

Just in time for summer and outdoorsy entertaining, Crate & Barrel curated and launched beautiful complementary lines for homemakers of different persuasions. Stylists, interior designers,  and C&B loyalists whose homes were all in need of a little summer lovin’ couldn’t wait to see what the collection had in store for them. Find out who they were here:

Appealing to any taste the Spring/Summer 2017 collection was all encompassing and portrayed a casual-luxe vibe and look that essentially celebrated the concept of bringing the indoors, well, out. Check out some of the pieces from the current collection:

“The biggest trend in interior design and décor for 2017 is about inviting the outdoors in,” said Crate & Barrel US VP for Merchandising, Raymond Arenson. “This is the time of year to expand living spaces by flinging open the doors and furnishing outdoor space with indoor comfort, he shared, adding, “These modern outdoor living rooms break down the barrier between indoor and outdoor living – seeing the outside as not separate from the home but as an extension of it. We are calling this trend Open for Living.”

Four inviting areas were set up and styled at the well-appointed al fresco Samsung Hall of SM Aura to showcase the  very pretty collection. Sharing their styling and homemaking and entertaining tips were event stylist, Jo Claravall, Craftsmith stylist, Kitty Bunag and Cy Ynares of The Bald Baker.

For starters, the “Great Room” was a great introduction to the indoor/outdoor breakthrough and presented by way of a modern outdoor living room and a main focus for relaxed contemporary living and entertaining, both indoors and out.

The “Inspired Kitchens” area created a fluid and seamless social flow for the living side of the Great Room. An evolved extension of the Fall 2016 line, Navy’s Making Waves was another highlighted concept and is contrasted with crisp bright whites. The “Anything but Neutral” trend, meanwhile, played beautifully with texture, scale and sculptural profiles.

The bold “Fresh Colour Pop” designs were perfect for re-energising the everyday with aqua, blues and whites, copper and marble, black and white and even yummy mint and pistachio!
