The Auto Nation Group (ANG), importer and distributor of Mercedes-Benz in the Philippines, launched the newest GLE last 7 August 2019 in an exclusive media luncheon at its showroom in EDSA Greenhills.

Now on its fourth generation, Mercedes-Benz has been innovating and introducing premium SUVs since 1997 that each has its own strength and unique identity that accommodates to a specific customer and his or her specific lifestyle and adventure.

The fourth-generation GLE is the outcome of years of strong leadership, innovative design and engineering, a powerful promise of trust and capability, with a strength of character that can only come from Mercedes-Benz.

Featuring a muscular and athletic profile yet maintaining its luxurious and intelligent design, the head-turning GLE is a 7-seater SUV that provides the most advanced intuitive safety systems and a spacious and comfortable interior.

Mercedes-Benz has always been at the vanguard of safety innovations in the automobile industry, including the newest member of its SUV line which is loaded with several safety features such as Blind Spot Assist, Active Brake Assist, an advanced 360-degree camera, and the latest generation of Intelligent Driving System.

It features the latest generation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX) with a comprehensive touch control concept that combines the functionalities of the touchscreen, a central console touchpad, and touch-control buttons on the steering wheel for less driver distraction and stress. It also highlights a remarkable intelligent virtual assistant that can be activated by a button in the steering wheel or by voice through saying “Hey Mercedes” from anywhere in the cabin.

The new GLE 300d 4MATIC is also powered by an in-line 4 Turbo Diesel engine with 9G TRONIC 9-speed Automatic transmission, producing an output and torque of 245 hp and 500Nm, respectively. Aside from revolutionizing the GLE’s lights including its new Multibeam LED with ultra-range beam, it also offers 4MATIC All-Wheel Drive making driving to the most difficult terrain nothing but a breeze.
