Right in the middle of Salcedo Village, a new player in the serviced residences scene offers a serene urban getaway

While there are still people who enjoy the thrill of getting away from it all, the stresses and cares of modern living have prompted many weary urban warriors to consider staycations within city limits: shorter yet still relaxing stays that offer all the comforts of home.

In the busy bustling heart of Makati, those seeking a respite from the tedious routine of everyday life can book themselves into one of the latest players in the local hospitality scene: The Sphere Serviced Residences.

Since it first opened its doors to guests in January 2019, The Sphere in Salcedo Village offers comfortable accommodations with a unique homey touch for those looking for a weekend away from home, as well as those travelling into the country for work assignments or commitments.

According to operations manager Alex Yatco, "The Sphere was conceived with the corporate travelers in mind who want to be within walking distance of their workplace."

The Sphere is the first Philippine property investment for Six Stratos, a company based in Singapore with over 30 working projects throughout the world. In turn, the serviced residences are managed by Hospitality Innovators, Incorporated (HII), a Filipino company with two decades of experience in the accommodations sector of the industry, and a portfolio that includes properties in Alabang, Makati, Manila, and Quezon City, as well as in such tourism hubs as Boracay, Palawan, and Tagaytay.

The Sphere's accommodations occupy the 21st to 26th floors of The Stratosphere Building, with 20 rooms per floor, and gives guests the option of staying in either a one-bedroom suite or a studio-type apartment.

Each of the guestrooms here sports a clean and bright look inspired by the hip industrial chic seen in places like New York and London. All rooms offer WiFi connectivity for guests, alarm clocks with built-in Bluetooth speakers, and smart TVs, all of which enable those staying in to work (or play) in comfort and style.

For those with culinary inclinations or those in for an extended stay, the studio and one-bedroom suites are equipped with glass-top stoves, microwave ovens, and refrigerators in case they wish to cook their own meals.

But food will certainly not be an issue for the guests at The Sphere, as it is conveniently located in close proximity to some of the best restaurants in Makati. Indeed, those staying in will be offered complimentary breakfasts at Little Flour Cafe on the ground floor; while those looking for a coffee fix or are craving Taiwanese-style milk tea won't have to go far as Starbucks Reserve, Datong Ice House, and Tea 18 are all in the same building. The weekly Salcedo Saturday Market, known as one of the city's leading gourmet meccas, is also within walking distance.

Guests who want to work out can head downstairs to the well-equipped gym or make a splash at The Sphere's refreshing swimming pool.

It may be right in the heart of the city, but The Sphere Serviced Residences promise a stay that will leave one relaxed, refreshed, and ready to face the world again.
