What are we meant to do with the time we have? 

Lin-Manuel Miranda explores the quintessential question of existentialism through a film adaptation of Jonathan Larson's autobiographical musical, Rent. Headlined by Academy Award nominee, Andrew Garfield, Tick, Tick...BOOM! follows the life of a young theatre composer named Jon.

Set in 1990 amid the catastrophic AIDS epidemic, the film explores Jon's journey as a waiter and musical theatre writer in New York City. Days before he's due to showcase his work in an exciting performance, Jon begins feeling intense pressure from his girlfriend, Susan, and from his friend, Michael. Now, he finds himself at a crossroads and begins to question his life's purpose. 

Tick, Tick...BOOM! sees Andrew Garfield cast alongside a spectacular lineup of multi-awarded actors and actresses that include Alexandra Shipp, Robin de Jesús, Joshua Henry, and Vanessa Hudgens.
