The S-Class is literally receiving a fresh coat of luxury paint and Mercedes-Maybach can't wait until Geneva to show it off.

Luxury car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz may be a household name, but its ultra-luxury sub-brand Mercedes-Maybach aspires to be a name among palaces, with its exclusive S-Class sedan.

‘Inspired by a pinstripe suit' were the words used by the brand to describe the most prominent new feature -- the vertical grille made up of fine louvres. This design feature was first premiered by the company with its Vision Mercedes-Maybach 6 in 2016.

Continuing with the Mercedes-Maybach theme, the S-Class will come with a two-tone exterior paint finish and there will be 9 different color combinations available. However, the double clear coat will be the other new option for dark colors to “create a brilliant surface finish with a piano lacquer effect and a special impression of depth.”

This big four-door sedan will roll around on new 20‑inch multi-spoke wheels; in fact there are three exclusive options to choose from, one of which is similar to the 20-hole design as seen on the Mercedes-Maybach S‑Cabriolet.

As for customizing the inside, buyers will be given two new options, armagnac brown/black and savanna beige/black, with options of different metallic colored stitching for the leather upholstery.

The Mercedes-Maybach S-Class is sold with the choice between two petrol engines. The S560 has a turbocharged V8 with 469 hp, which is also available in 4matic four wheel drive. The S650 has a turbocharged V12 with 630hp.

Car enthusiasts will first get to see the latest Mercedes-Maybach S-Class with their own eyes at the Geneva Motor Show (March 6 - March 13), and sales will begin in April 2018.
