Patterns are everywhere in nature—from constellations to the flocking of birds—that when interpreted, they give us a better understanding of the world. Vibia aims to harness the wonder of these naturally-occurring forces with the Algorithm collection.

Vibia’s Algorithm is actually a tool that is designed to inspire and facilitate creativity until the desired configuration of the lighting system is achieved. Algorithm then can be arranged according to the architecture space, the area to be lit, and the desired pattern.

Just how is this done? Algorithm is composed of light globes suspended at different heights and anchored to the ceiling via a floating tubular steel structure. Much more than just a support mechanism this structure contributes to the overall composition with an elegant visual game.

The individual light globes are manufactured from blown glass featuring a striated concentric surface pattern that itself creates a translucent and constantly changing lighting effect. The diffusers are provided with 3,5W LED light fitting that can be dimmed.
