5. Thriller: Killing Eve and Bodyguard

These two runaway hits both feature complex characters in equally intricate situations.

Killing Eve is about a bored low-level security employee with a knack for intel who lives out her desire of being a spy when she gets the chance to hunt down an elusive hit woman. It’s an endlessly thrilling cat-and-mouse game that examines the nature of these two women.

On the other hand, Bodyguard follows a war veteran who’s assigned to protect Britain’s home secretary, with whom he shares a VERY contradictory relationship. From the very first episode, the tension will grip you from the get-go.
