Going on a long-haul flight soon? Philippine Airlines gives you more options to enjoy the experience

In the interest of making the experience of travel as comfortable as possible, Philippine Airlines (PAL) has updated the cabins of all its long-haul aircraft. Aside from the instalment of new cabins and seats, the airline also ordered new aircraft which brings PAL’s fleet to 86 aircraft to date.

True to its 4-star Skytrax rating, PAL has made the following improvements on its services:

The new state-of-the-art Business Class seats installed on eight reconfigured “Tri-Class” Airbus A330s, the latest Boeing B777s, and the upcoming Airbus A321neo and Airbus A350 Aircraft turn in to full-flat beds with up to 78-inch bed length for maximum comfort for a relaxing flight. On the new Premium Economy Class available on the Tri-Class Airbus A330s and A350s , the seats feature a built-in leg and foot rest with seat pitch of 38 inches and can be reclined up to eight inches, giving passengers  more room to relax and  provides value for money for a premium experience.

To enhance the guests’ enjoyment, PAL’s latest in-flight entertainment system through the  myPAL eSuite, is outfitted with over 300 hours of movies, TV shows, and music for non-stop entertainment at 30,000 feet. The myPAL Player inflight streaming app is also available for download for all iOS and Android users who wish to watch and consume content through their own devices, while the myPAL Wi-fi allows passengers to surf the internet throughout the flight.

Meanwhile, the inflight cuisine has levelled up as a result of the strong collaboration between PAL’s Inflight Catering led by Corporate  Chef  Noel  Ramos and some of the country's renowned chefs: Jessie  Sincioco, Fernando Aracama, Glenda Barretto, Myrna Segismundo, and Miko Aspiras.

The culinary journey may begin with the famous arroz caldo in the Mabuhay Lounge. Once in the plane, passengers can indulge in different seasonal dishes such as the angus beef caldereta, Bulacan-style bangus sarciado, and guinataang  sugpo. These inflight  meals are served with Filipino artisanal desserts like Carmen’s Best Ice Cream, Auro Chocolates, and Malagos Cheese from Davao.
