What comes to our mind when we hear the phrase "health is wealth" is always good nutrition and exercise. We often forget that another vital component of our healthy lifestyle is enough rest and proper sleep.

An exclusive virtual slumber party-themed event with Doug and Cheska Kramer was recently held on 15 March 2021 by Uratex, the Philippines' leading manufacturer of foams and mattresses. It was part of the #BetterSleepBetterU campaign, making World Sleep Day extra fun and memorable this year. Joining the event was Dr Keith Aguilera, President of the Philippine Society of Sleep Medicine Inc, and Life Coach Kimi Lu. Heart Evangelista also surprised the attendees through a short video.

These challenging times have made it quite difficult to catch some sleep—all the more making this part of our daily lives twice as important.

This rings true as Heart shared her thoughts during a short video for the attendees. She said, "I truly stand by this because even when I'm having a really busy day and my schedule is full, I make up for it through sleep—I always rely on good sleep to keep me fresh, energized, and keep my skin glowing. I think this is the best gift you can give yourself especially during this pandemic when we need a very strong immune system to get through each day".

Sleep routines vary. Some prefer the common seven to eight hours of sleep while others prefer to take naps in lieu of sleeping early. Parents Doug and Cheska Kramer, however, prefer the traditional routine. And they're quite serious when it comes to making sure their kids get enough rest. This is why they put importance on the mattress that they have at home.

Doug shared, "Sleep for us is very important. I don't know if people noticed but when we did our home tour video, every single mattress in our house is all Uratex Premium Touch Viscoluxe so we make sure that the kids get at least 8 hours of sleep. They need the rest for all the activities. It's very important for them to be very well-rested and wake up on the right side of the bed".

"If you have a nice mattress, you save yourself from having backaches, from having sleepless nights, and all these things that come in when your mattress is not so good," Cheska added.
