Lizzie Eder Zobel de Ayala is a philanthropist with many civic engagements including Teach for the Philippines

This Colombia-American has called the Philippines home for decades and has dedicated her life to giving back to Philippine communities in need. She is married to Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala and has four children and two grandchildren.

Zobel is the acting chairmain for Teach For The Philippines, which she co-founded with Clarissa Delgado and Margarita Liboro Delgado in 2012. In 1999, Zobel also co-founded Sa Aklat Sisikat, a non-profit for literacy development, and one that has partnered with the Department of Education to further its cause. She was a member of the founding board Museo Pambata, and was appointed to the board of the National Museum of the Philippines. Adding to that, Zobel is a board member of: Friendly Care Foundation, Family Forum of the Philippines; Hong Kong-based Center for Asian Philanthropy (CAPS); Boston College; and For The Women Foundation.

This is one woman who strongly believes in helping others and fighting for what is right. In fact, she has also advocated for responsible family planning in the Philippines and supported the Reproductive Health Bill that was enacted into law in 2012.
