Victor Consunji

Founder and CEO, Victor Consunji Development Corp.

The third-generation standard bearer of a family in construction and real estate development

In Philippine real estate, few names are as ubiquitous and well-known as that of DMCI—a mega construction company and a four-letter acronym that can be found virtually everywhere in cities and urban areas. Its founder, the late David Consunji, is the grandfather of Victor Consunji, a third-generation scion with a maverick approach to the family business.

Through his company, Victor Consunji Development Corp., or VCDC, the younger Consunji has applied his family background in new ways with a lot of progressive ideas of his own. Among those ideas is M Residences, a flexibility-first development concept and the flagship of VCDC.

Consunji is also a director at DMCI, so despite having blazed his own trail, he still keeps within the family business. In fact, his personal endeavours have helped him in taking the reins. “As a director of the family company,” he once confided to Tatler, “I feel like I can credibly bring my experiences and points of view in a way that I couldn’t have if I’d never launched my own business.”
