Last September, Patek Philippe opened their 2019 Watch Art Grand Exhibition at the Marina Bay Sands Theatre in Singapore. The city-state’s locals and their Southeast Asian neighbours were able to witness the brand’s tradition of high-precision watch manufacturing through a series of specially-themed rooms that allowed guests to take a peek inside the Patek Philippe universe.
The Patek Philippe Watch Art Grand Exhibition in Singapore brought watch aficionados and enthusiasts alike, and allowed new audiences to understand the value of fine watchmaking. The event simultaneously honoured Singapore and the Southeast Asian region’s role in the success of the Maison, and they look forward to continuously celebrating the brand’s culture of excellence together.
Family Days were also hosted during the Watch Art Grand Exhibition’s run, where families were able to experience the world of fine Swiss mechanical watchmaking together. Children enjoyed activities that allowed them to design their own timepieces and create mechanical watches. They also took home special souvenirs to commemorate the event.
To celebrate their largest grand exhibition to date, Patek Philippe offered a limited-edition commemorative catalogue which not only features their historical timepieces but their current collection as well. A hundred per cent of the catalogue’s proceeds were donated to the National Museum of Singapore in an effort to support the preservation of national arts and heritage.
Six special edition watches were also introduced exclusively for the Southeast Asian markets. Each one of these models sport sapphire-crystal or solid backs and bear an inscription in honour of the event. These six timepieces showcase the manufacture’s fine craftsmanship and were released in limited quantities.
