Geraldine Javier (born 1970, Manila Philippines) is one of the Philippines’ most important and collected contemporary artists. Since 1995, she has held 31 solo exhibitions in the Philippines, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, Germany and China.

By 2008, she was combining textile works with paintings in installations. Paintings would often have collage elements notably preserved beetles and butterflies. Her works increasingly dealt with WWF’s relationship with nature.

As a WWF Philippines Art Ambassador, her art stresses the importance of a sustainable environment.

The minute track follows the perimeter of the dial in a subtle shade of blue, which is the result of the translucent lacquer staining on the sunray-brushed satin base. The purity of this remarkable dial, upon which the small second dial appears to float, is embellished with polished and rhodium-plated appliqué hour markers.
