The brand continues to inspire with their “You Can Be Anything” campaign

This year, Barbie continues to encourage girls all over the world to pursue their dreams—with their imagination and creativity as the only limits. Exclusive local distributor Richprime Global Inc. launched the campaign “You Can Be Anything” in support of its playset featuring Barbie in different professions and roles.

Mounting on the idea that playtime is an integral part in the development of goals in a child’s life, Barbie also promotes the essential role of choice in the pursuit of dreams. As shown in the video ad campaign, each little girl gets to act out their chosen roles spontaneously while being filmed by hidden cameras. One girl chose to be a professor, and she taught a group of college students, while another got to be a veterinarian who interacted with pets and their owners.

At the launch, Barbie also introduced columnist and blogger Kelly Misa, beauty queen Lara Quigaman-Alcaraz, and PR maven Apples Aberin, who serve as the brand’s ambassadors. They shared the stories of how they became who they are, and the role that Barbie played in building their character during childhood.

Building on the message of pursuing dreams, Barbie, through Richprime Global, also announced its partnership with non-governmental organisations such as the Pearl S. Buck Foundation for its advocacy. In the country, the foundation supports around 600 children through educational and health programs, and other services to help them realise their full potential.
