Behind The Scenes
For the past two years, we have managed to pull off a cover shoot in the middle of the glamorous chaos that is the Tatler Ball. We decided to mix it up this year by arranging a separate shoot date for the cover—letting the awardees relax and enjoy the night this time. Indeed, it was such a breeze.
Thanks to the help of our good friends at Shangri-La at the Fort (GM John Rice and Communications Executive Tiffany Jillian Go) and Bloomwoods owner Mia Lozada, we were able to replicate the grandeur of the Ball with additional elements to amp it up for an editorial shoot. Top-notch photographer Mark Nicdao was on camera duty, nailing each and every shot that the photoshoot was done in two hours. Our subjects’ busy schedules were favoured; and everyone went home early with satisfied smiles.
On our second cover is the beautiful Kayla, the youngest daughter of Fred and Kerri Uytengsu. The historic Shangri-La Hotel, Paris welcomed us in its palatial halls and pr ovided a glamorous location for Kayla’s shoot. We were able to take photos in the lobby and ballroom, and Kayla was even game enough to climb atop the fireplace, resulting in a spectacular shoot fit for a princess!
