Rosy-hued treats for a good cause are all in store in October as Crimson Hotel Filinvest City shows its support for breast cancer awareness
October takes on a rosy blush as Crimson Hotel Filinvest City in Alabang kick-starts its Passionately Pink campaign to commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign was formally launched last 25 September at an afternoon tea reception featuring a menu filled with pink-tinged sweet and savoury treats at the Lobby Lounge.
This year, Passionately Pink includes a number of special promotions, events, and activities for the benefit of STAGEZERO by Project Pink Support Group, a non-stock, non-profit organisation that provides assistance for cancer patients and their families, empowers them through education, and offers emotional, social and spiritual support.
“We started our awareness campaign against breast cancer last year in line with our efforts to give back to our community,” Crimson Filinvest general manager Gerhard Doll says of the programme. “It is alarming to know that the Philippines has the highest incidence of breast cancer in Asia with three out of 100 Filipino women at risk of getting it in their lifetime.
Both mothers and daughters are at risk of getting breast cancer. However, cancer prevention is possible if they know how to beat it.” In the CompanY of Pink, a concert top-billed by The Company, is slated for 12 October, at 7:00pm at the Crimson Grand Ballroom, with tickets ranging from Php 2,500 net inclusive of pre-show cocktails.
An art and fashion exhibition titled Passion Forward featuring the work of artists from the South Arts Festival, along with gowns by renowned designer Francis Libiran, will be on display at the Lobby Lounge from 1 to 28 October. Health and Healing, a mother-daughter retreat geared towards discussions on symptoms, meditation, and nutrition, is slated for 13 October; while 18 October will be marked by the Share Hope Fundraising Dinner featuring exquisite cuisine by house chefs, fine wines, and a silent auction for the cause.
