It took him seven tries to get her to say yes to their first date; but eight years after they met, Isabelle Daza tied the knot with long-time French boyfriend Adrien Semblat, general manager of Adidas Philippines, in an intimate destination wedding in Tuscany, Italy.

The pair's relationship started with an awkward encounter: Isabelle had to cancel their first date because she fell sick, only to see Adrien later that night while she was having dinner with her friend Bea Soriano (Isabelle swore she felt better that day, thus the spontaneous dinner with Bea).

In August 2015, Adrien popped the question in Cappadocia, Turkey. After numerous bumps in the months leading to their wedding—foremost of which was the death of her father Bong Daza, among others—the couple finally said their wedding vows before 180 family members and friends.

Isabel and Adrien had everything down pat—from the floral theme to what's inscribed on the rings (Adrien and Isabelle my love), the funny cake topper, and the socks of the men's entourage which had the couple's faces on it.

The three-day celebration started with a casual Tuscan-themed pre-wedding dinner at the Michelin-recognised Castello di Gargonza, a 13th-century castle hotel in Tuscany. The convivial al fresco gathering, set at the hotel's Lemon Garden, served as an appetiser for the following day's celebration of love.

The One

Romance was in the air on the afternoon of September 10. Everyone looked their best—the lovely bridesmaids wore flowy floral gowns by Vania Romoff while the dapper groomsmen sported blue tuxedos.

Come afternoon, a blushing Isabelle walked down the aisle of St. Francis Church to the tune of Bob Dylan's Make You Feel My Love, looking resplendent in a strapless Vera Wang wedding dress. With her father's passing away in July, Isabelle was given away by her godfather, Bong Bong Marcos, who was also her father's best friend.

Adrien was equally handsome in his sleek dark blue suit. His eyes zeroed in and stayed glued on his lovely bride.

Their vows moved everyone to tears. Adrien said he immediately knew Isabelle was the one; Isabelle felt blessed for having Adrien by her side when her father died.

Tuscan Fun

After officially becoming husband and wife, the newlyweds were whisked off to a private location to later meet their guests who were taken to the Lecetta Oak Garden for some exquisite Tuscan food under romantic fairy lights. Family and friends gave emotional and entertaining speeches, chronicling the couple's journey to where they are now.

The fun-filled night was followed by a "hangover brunch" in the morning. Guests trooped to the poolside garden of Castello di Gargonza to continue the celebration. Arriving in the Sunday best, everyone later changed to swimsuits to revcl under the Tuscan sun. Isabelle and Adrien are planning a romantic honeymoon in South Africa.
