Five personalities share their love for their beloved pets and the stories behind them.

1. Juliana And Selina Ocampo

Tatler Asia

Breed: French bulldog

Name: Pele

Self-centered and anxious, Pele never wants to share the spotlight. A symbol and mascot of the Ocampo family, he is a seeker of attention and a keeper of everyone’s love. It’s nine years of pure joy with him and hopefully nine more to come.

2. Sandra Soriano

Tatler Asia

Breed: Shiba Inu

Name: Hibiki

Hibiki is my four-year-old Shiba Inu, named after the Japanese whisky since he has the same colour coat and strong personality. Typical of the breed, he is very clever, strong-willed and stubborn. While he loves to play catch and chase all the birds in the garden, Hibiki spends most of his day asleep on my bed, on the floor next to my feet, or curled up on the couch, always ready for a snuggle and a snack.

3. Dr. Aivee Teo

Tatler Asia

Breed: poodle

Names: Paris, Berlin and Oslo

Our family is blessed with three giant poodles. We named them Paris, Berlin and Oslo from the European cities that we fell in love with. Giant poodles are the biggest variety in their breed. They have wonderful temperaments, they do not shed and most of all they are just so fluffy and cute. Recently, Paris and Berlin had a litter of eight wonderful puppies which gave my family so much happiness. Giant poodles resemble huge stuffed toys and they bring so much joy into our lives. We cannot imagine our world without our precious babies.

4. Sassa Jimenez

Tatler Asia

Breed: beagle, shih tzu, Yorkie and golden retriever

Name: Maximus, Jakku, Fish and Papo

My days are not complete without getting a lot of hugs and cuddles from my dogs. Maximus, the laziest of the bunch, is with me 24/7. I consider him my best friend and lifelong companion. My other dogs who are much younger and more energetic are usually the ones that keep everyone in the house cheerful and active. My golden retriever Papo and my sister’s Yorkie named Fish like being around me in the kitchen when I’m cooking because they’re always on the lookout for treats or pieces of bread or cheese. Jakku, the shih tzu, is very nonchalant; he’s always sitting pretty somewhere in the house.

5. Katrina Razon

Tatler Asia

Breed: toy poodle

Name: Kacey

Kacey brings endless joy into our lives. She is a creature of habit and uses her cuteness to her advantage. In other words, she is a master manipulator who always gets her way.
