Charismatic media personality and host, Tim Yap, is engaged to his long-time partner, Javi Martinez!

On January 19, Martinez got the ultimate surprise. In the middle of Yap's well-attended 40th birthday bash at Manila House, he got down on one knee and popped the big question on stage and in front of everyone!

Yap's universe-themed party encouraged guests to come dressed in national costumes from around the world. Best-dressed attendees received gifts and every woman donned Miss Universe styled sashes with clever labels.

The glamorous evening was meticulously planned by event organiser extraordinaire, Martinez, who was always behind the scenes working his magic. Little did Martinez know, he was in for one of life's biggest moments.

Mid-speech, Yap called Martinez up on stage, saying that out of everyone in the universe he wanted to spend his life with him. Martinez, who was absolutely stunned and beaming with excitement, said YES.
