Looking for ways to donate to support the on-going rehabilitation efforts for Cagayan De Oro? Here are some foundations that can help out!

In the light of the sudden and extensive flooding in Cagayan De Oro, the area has been declared to be in a state of calamity (Tuesday,  January 17, 2017). If you’ve been wondering how you can help, here are several avenues you can contact/ donate to in order to help – thousands have been evacuated and several dead, and are thus in need of goods and support – any amount will surely contribute to the on-going rehabilitation of the area. 


Cagayan De Oro is located in Misamis Oriental, Northern Mindanao, Philippines.


DSWD (Department of Social Welfare and Development)

The DSWD has always been involved in helping improve the lives of the Filipino people. To date their Disaster Relief program was able to provide around 2M pesos worth of  assistance.

Gawad Kalinga has consequently provided relief services and efforts for typhoon-affected areas of the Philippines. Although the Cagayan De Oro calamity was not directly caused by a typhoon but rather torrential low pressure area rainfall, the Gawad Kalinga foundation will be surely glad to accommodate any donations for the relief of damaged areas.
