It's all about Big Apple vibes and Big Apple flavours over at Central Square this summer as it takes on a New York state of mind for its Big City Escape. The two-month-long promotion was formally kicked off on 26 April at the Central Square Atrium where guests enjoyed delectable treats and a selection of Broadway-inspired performances. 

From 26 April to 30 June 2019, shoppers get to enjoy a number of New York-inspired attractions, ranging from live entertainment, travel promotions, and gourmet delights. A minimum purchase of Php 3,000 from selected stores within Central Square and Bonifacio High Street gives shoppers a chance to win a 5-day/4-night trip to New York City, shopping perks, and group feasts at partner restaurants. 

For those who enjoy the music of the Great White Way, there will be a number of perfomances to enjoy at the Atrium featuring excerpts from some of the biggest Broadway musicals. The Music of Broadway is presented by Stages, the producer of West Side Story and Disney's High School Musical, and will feature some of the best local thespians and vocalists. Performances are scheduled at 6:00pm on 27 and 28 April, and again on 29 and 30 June.

An array of edible delights awaits local gourmets at the NYC Street Eats fair by chef JJ Yulo and the team from Pinoy Eats World, a group that specialises in crafting food tours and pop-up markets. Participating purveyors include Purple Yam, Tender Bob's, Melo's, Stanford & Shaw, Fog City Creamery, Mr Delicious, and Pizza Grigliata.

Mall-goers can also enjoy an interactive experience where they can explore and snap photos of themselves through the famed five boroughs of New York with Scene Snaps, a series of interactive vignettes also located in the Atrium.
