National Book Store finally turns its founder's lifelong dream into a reality with the opening of its tertiary educational institution at the heart of Quezon City.

National Book Store (NBS) marks its 75th year by creating an institution for higher learning in Quezon City. After continuosly supporting Filipinos' education and learning, NBS is taking the next step with NBS College located on the 3rd and 4th floors of the National Book Store building on Quezon Avenue corner Scout Borromeo and Panay Avenue.

For the school year 2018-2019, NBS College will be offering to its pioneer batch six in demand degree programs: BS Accountancy, BS Accounting Information System, BS Entrepreneurship, BS Computer Science, BS Library and Information Science, and BS Tourism Management.

NBS College President Adrian Ramos during his speech said that his grandmother's passion for learning as well as her undeniable entreprenuerial skills serve as inspiration for the school's unique curriculum of preparing its students immediately to the economic landscape.

"Guided by the 75 years of entrepreneurial excellence of National Book Store, NBS College equips our students with the skills and values they need to succeed in the rapidly-changing global field," Ramos said.

The brilliant minds behind Mercato Centrale and the Mercato Academy, represented by RJ Ledesma, have agreed to become an industry partner for Entrepreneurship. Here, students will get more intensive on-the-job training and fieldwork while studying. 

NBS College's modern facilities and highly competent faculty help create an environment of collaborative learning. True to its values of nurturance, benevelonce, and service, NBS College offers academic scholarships and a scholarship grant for its pioneer batch.

Pioneer students will be given 12,500 pesos each per year for four years that they will be in NBS College to assist them in their schooling and expenses. Moreover, their tuition fee will stay the same for four years. Meanwhile, top graduating students from senior high schools will be given appropriate merit-based scholarships. Moreover, NBS College is giving 10 need-based scholarship for the pioneer batch and will be screened via interviews and exams.
