Honouring the relationship between the Philippines and Spain, the anniversary gala dinner took guests to a time travelling journey back to 1899.

Donned in Filipinianas and Barong Tagalog, the guests commemorated the beautiful tradition of the country during the Spanish era. Program started with an exclusive exhibit in the La Casa Azul, Instituto Cervantes in Intramuros. In the exhibit, objects from 1899 onwards that are related to the Spanish Chamber and to the Philippines such as old maps, photos, newsletters, minute books, typewriters were presented. The venue was decorated with Filipino delicate fabrics for as well as some clothes from the old Manila style with the help of the amazing designer Patis Tesoro. The exhibit ended with a toast of Valformosa Bruit Cava.

Afterwards, everyone was transferred by calesas to the Jardin Padre Blanco Garden, inside San Agustin Museum. Cocktail and dinner was served by the famous Spanish chef, Nicolás Diaz-Jogeix of Barcino.

Ambassador Jorge Moragas gave opening remarks as well as the President of association of all Spanish chambers around the world, Eduardo Barrachina. This was then followed by a short speech of the new President of La Camara, Peter Hager and the reading of the congratulatory letter for the anniversary sent by Felipe VI King of Spain.

During the dinner, recognitions and awards were given to former presidents of the Spanish Chamber and to companies that have had an outstanding performance in the Philippines this year.

INDRA received the Best Use of Technology award for providing solutions to creating safe roadways that will enable mobility and accessibility. Fundacion Santiago received Most Creative Corporate Social Responsibility Program award for consistently aiming to provide equity to company. CEMEX's efforts in aiding the development of infrastructure in the country through effective marketing strategies paid off with them receiving the Most Innovative Marketing and Advertising Communications award. Meanwhile, ESPA-FIL IMPORT AND EXPORT received the Business Excellence award for diversifying the flavours of the Filipino palate. The Entrepreneur award was given to Pablo Garcia-Morera for his dedication of more than 35 years on continuing fruitful bilateral relations between the Philippines and Spain. And lastly, the Biggest Project award was given to Acciona Infraestructuras S.A. for building bridges that aim to connect people, specifically through the creation of the Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway.
