Steven Füglister’s and Vania Romoff’s recent island resort nuptials were the talk of the town

Though adorable power couple, über designer Vania Romoff and businessman and pro hockey player, Steven Füglister were married back at their second home, Zurich, Switzerland last September 7, both wanted a second special cermony to share with 100 family members and close friends in Boracay, which was held November 3.

The two both agreed on holding the intimate three-day affair at the stunning wedding destination that is Shangri-La’s Boracay Resort & Spa. Said the designer, “We first visited Shangri-La with our daughter when she was only five months. We fell in love with the exclusivity and beauty of the place and how it's part of Boracay but somehow secluded. There's a sense of privacy that we wanted for our big day.” Added Füglister, “We wanted to celebrate by the beach but not be completely overrun by random tourists and vendors.”

Their big day commenced with a lovely Roman Catholic ceremony in church followed by a relaxed apéro in the garden and then a tropical dinner by the beach.
“We wanted it to be very Filipino as I felt it should be. Especially as most of our guests flew in from Switzerland and were seeing the Philippines for the first time,” shared Vania.

Post I do’s, Vania is still on cloud nine and I slowly simmering down from such a a special time. “It was amazing,” she said, “Shangri-La even went out of its way to find certain drinks that I wanted, which they don't normally have on their drink list like Aperol! It was great working with the team and I have no regrets having choosen the Shangri-La for our special day!”
