Proving to be the most vibrant and colorful red carpet event to date, the 2020 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) awards kicked things off with a star-studded line-up of actors, performers and other artists who all stepped out in slew of breathtaking looks. Some of primetime TV's most notable upcoming actresses and Hollywood stars alike strutted and sashayed down the red carpet, giving us a delicious visual feast of creamy pastels, jewel tones and eye-popping pinks. Here are the ladies who lit the red carpet in the most stunning designer ensembles:

Zoe Kravitz

Looking exquisite and ethereal, Zoe Kravitz stunned in her peach Oscar de la Renta column dress complete with white evening gloves. The actress is on point by opting to keep everything else in her look understated and minimal; sleek hair paired with barely-there make-up (but then again, with those cheekbones who needs much?).

Cynthia Erivo

The red and pink Schiaparelli couture ballgown with voluminous tiered skirt is as striking as the woman who wore it. Collective gasps aside, we're all delighted Cynthia Erivo did not hold back on this one– she's arrived and she wants you to know it.

Scarlett Johansson

Oh if it isn't Scarlett Johansson– the red carpet slayer, proving that she is no one-hit wonder, she sizzles in this hot green custom Armani Privé dress with statement earrings, statement coral lip and a whole lot of attitude.

Renée Zellweger

It's all fun and games for Renée Zellweger in this structured Maison Margiela origami dress. She played her cards right by looking youthful and modern in this ensemble with one statement jewelry, an almost bare face, and a perfectly executed messy up-do (yes, there is such a thing).

Jennifer Garner

Speaking of fun and fanciful, two keywords that pretty much describes Jennifer Garner in this delectable red ruched ballgown by Dolce & Gabbana. She keeps her accessories impactful yet minimal with Harry Winston diamonds, her hair down in loose curls just neatly tucked behind her ears, befitting her sweet, girl-next-door signature style.

Sophie Turner

Stepping out with her hot beau and equally hot pink Louis Vuitton gown with a bustier bodice, Sophie (head)Turner looked smashing. Pulling off this galactic shade of pink is no easy feat– her styling, or should I say, the lack thereof, totally saved this ensemble from looking like a cheesy-hot mess. Shoes to match, and a dusting of shimmer was all it needs (well, that and Sophie's good looks).

Kathryn Newton

To wrap this list up, Kathryn Newton set the mood by bringing a whole lot of whimsy at the SAG awards. One of the first to arrive, she made a sweeping statement in this frothy Maison Valentino number. Again with the sleek hair, minimal make-up and accessories, she managed to make this ensemble look both dainty and edgy. If this is any indication of where fashion is heading in 2020, then we're all in for a sweet treat!
