The Art of Being a Woman by Longchamp

We got a sneak preview of the much loved French label, Longchamp’s Fall 2017 collection today at Blackbird. The theme: woman. Longchamp is all about the modern day woman, from her independence, character, beauty, brains and her ability to adapt.

“Longchamp’s Fall 2017 collection embodies the fully liberated self-sufficient woman.”

Longchamp was founded in Paris in 1948 by Jean Cassegrain, and is still owned and run by the Cassegrain family today. As the years go by, the brand continues to develop, simply growing stronger.

foot-bag.jpgThis fall 2017, be on the look out for some iconic styles, throwing it back to the 1970’s. There are bold colours and classic sophisticalted fall palettes: from sun yellow to aubergine. There are a range of textures, patterns and chic fabrics that are sure to catch your attention too. We were very pleased to see rich hues of lilac, amethyst and olive green, as well as the bright splashes of reds and corals – all of which tastefully complement their respective designs.

“Sophie Delafontaine takes us on a journey to the very core of women who own their femininity.”

The collection features two brand new bags:

The ‘Pénélope Arty’ which has an understated medley of metallics and suede leather paired with a 3D op art effect.

The ‘Effrontée’ (French for 'brazen') breaks free from the typical designs from Longchamp. This bag has a lot of contrasts and makes great use of negative space with its arabesque lines.
