The French haute parfumerie label collaborated with the tennis superstar and his wife Maria Perello to launch a special collection, In All Intimacy
In the sporting world, the name Rafael Nadal is instantly recognisable. The tennis superstar has cemented himself as one of the greats in the sport and is popularly known as the King of Clay for his undefeatable strength in clay court matches. Needless to say, the athlete has a special relationship with tennis. But the tennis legend enjoys another such relationship with something else in life: fragrances.
To celebrate this, Nadal has teamed up with French haute parfumerie Henry Jacques for an exclusive collaboration. Together with his wife Maria Perello, the duo has launched their own perfume collection, In All Intimacy, with the brand.
The couple worked closely with the maison to create three fragrances that reflect their personalities: Maria Perello, Rafael Nadal No.1 and Rafael Nadal No.2.
While Henry Jacques marked a milestone this year by opening the doors to its very first boutique in Paris, France, back in June, this collection is significant for both the couple and the historic French perfume brand because it is born of a series of “firsts”. It’s the first time Henry Jacques is partnering with an icon, a first for Nadal to collaborate with a perfume house and a first for the married couple to join forces on such a project.
“Meeting and spending time with Maria and Rafael to create their perfumes was a true pleasure and the beginning of a new chapter that the three of us wish to last,” Anne-Lise Cremona, CEO of Henry Jacques said of the partnership.
“Our encounter was about sharing emotions with great mutual trust, and above all a desire to share a beautiful story and reflection of life that could be inspiring for many. And that is what perfume is all about.”

If anyone who knew him well were asked to sum up Nadal in just three words, they would likely say: “Tennis, home… and perfume”.
Henry Jacques brought Nadal’s passion to life through two unique creations, a lighter scent for when he’s in character playing tennis; the other for his more personal and private moments—staying true to the maison’s spirit of creating a perfume wardrobe with a fragrance for every occasion. Inspiration was taken from his strong connection with the Mediterranean.
“It is difficult to imagine my life without the Mediterranean Sea. I love its scent, the citrus, the freshness.” the sporting champion explained.
Besides water, Nadal also placed emphasis on his relationship with nature and the earth. “To me, there is nothing like the scent of the earth after the rain, when the sun sets,” he added.
