Make-up artist Pat McGrath perfected this super-fresh look for Victoria Beckham’s show by using Foreo UFOs and mini-masks to prepare models’ complexions. Co-opt similar pareddown, dewy, no-make-up make-up looks, also seen at Loewe, Stella McCartney, Isabel Marant and Valentino, any day of the week by applying a hydrating mask 30 minutes before make-up, then layering a serum-like La Mer’s The Concentrate under your primer.

Then follow the serum with a lightweight foundation like Giorgio Armani’s Maestro Fusion, and finish with a shimmery tinted lip balm like Hourglass No 28 Lip Treatment Oil.

Models at Tom Ford, Max Mara and Elie Saab were awash in monochrome make-up, wearing similar shades of taupe on their eyelids, cheeks and lips.

Steal this inspiration for every day using just two products: a contour palette like Bobbi Brown’s Take It To Glow or a contour stick like Benefit’s Hoola—both can double as highlighter for the cheekbones—and a similar shade on the lips (try Tom Ford’s Magnetic Attraction or Lip Spark in Thrust) for a perfectly paired flush and pout.

The catwalks at Rodarte and Ashish were rife with sparkling metallic make-up on the eyes and lips of models’ otherwise bare faces. Michael Kors brought disco fever back with gold eyeshadow paired with dark, smoky eyeliner on the corners and creases—smudged like the models had been partying at Studio 54 all night.

The perennial favourite, an attention-grabbing red lip, walked runways paired with minimal make-up—think Helmut Lang and Paco Rabanne—or a graphic eye like at Louis Vuitton. Instead of shimmer, lips were kept matte or finished with a blurred edge, like at Oscar de la Renta.

Apply lipstick as opaque as you like and take a cotton swab along the edge to soften the line. This way, the lip wears naturally over time and you’re not left worrying about feathering.
