Metropolitan Dreams by Nakata is a product of creative and philanthropic collaboration between Italian jewellery brand Damiani and Japanese model and sports personality Hidetoshi Nakata. The special collection revisits Damiani’s 2010 Metropolitan Dream line, and consists of 21 references of necklaces, bangles, and bracelets in pink and black gold versions, both with diamonds.

In an intimate gathering at the Rustan’s Makati Silver Vault, Nakata was joined by Giorgio Damiani, Italian Ambassador to the Philippines Massimo Roscigno, and Nedy and Donnie Tantoco in celebration of the launch of the collaborative collection. Damiani and Nakata have known each other for quite some time. “We’re very good friends, so I convinced him to collaborate with us for a very special project,” shared Damiani. “We made it a point to create a new unisex jewellery line, but at the same time it should support his charity programme.”

A portion of the sales of Metropolitan Dream by Nakata will go to Home for All, a project created in 2011 by Japanese architects with the aim of finding a way to help survivors of the earthquake in reconstructing affected cities and communities. Outside Japan, the proceeds will be used to support the Clean Water Project, Damiani’s charity of choice, in the construction of clean water wells in Africa.
