“We wanted to stay true to the Happy Skin brand, which is all about taking care of your skin so we made a polish that cares for your nails.” – Rissa Mananquil Trillo, co-founder

Today we got to try the just launched Happy Skin Express Gel line of fuss-free Gel Nail Polish which will be available this week in Happy Skin boutiques and on their website.

I kid you not when saying that it is such good quality.

trio-1.jpgThe polish is glossy, pigmented, long lasting, and quick to dry (as in it dries in a few seconds... seriously)! The best part about the Express Gel polish is that it does not require the use of UV light to apply, like most gels do, and also does not need the complicated removal process, just your average nail polish remover will do the trick!

This homegrown, proudly Pinoy, brand has continued to grow and develop its products and brand, maintaining high quality standards, becoming something that Filipinos can be very proud of. For example, Happy Skin went the extra mile and made their line vegan and free from the top 10 toxins typically found in polish, to ensure healthy toes and healthy fingers, staying true to the Happy Skin brand.

“Nail polish is a source of inspiration.”

Rissa-.jpg“You can change your look with just one swipe of colour and be on trend with a simple change of polish.” - Rissa Mananquil Trillo

The Express Gel line comes in a top coat and 6 colours as of now but don't worry there will be more to come in the near future! This polish eliminates the need for a base coat, making doing you nails that much easier. But each colour is much more than just a polish as they were all thoughtfully was concocted, named and then matched with a personality who embodies its name.

"Who you are or who you want to be is right at your fingertips."

For example, the polishes are named: Dreamer (dove grey), Achiever (soft pink), Influencer (taupe), Icon (wine red), Superstar(metallic gold) and Artist (light khaki) and each colour blends in well with their passions and careers. The 6 colors are respectively endorsed by these empowering women: Iya Villania-Arellano, Aivee Teo, Joey Mead King, Tweetie de Leon-Gonzalez, Angelina King and Heart Evangelista Escudero.

The purpose for this, explains Rissa, is that “our hands are our tools to make things happen so to amplify this message we tapped personalities who embody these powerful words. We want women to know that who you are or who you want to be is right at your fingertips. Your dreams are within reach.”

Grab a bottle this week and go get that much needed manicure and pedicure!

Congratulations to co-founders Jacque Yuengtian-Gutierrez and Rissa Mananquil Trillo (Generation T 2016 and 2017 lister)!
